Training Course in Mobile Forensics

Today it is almost impossible to conduct a criminal investigation
without experiencing a mobile device. Investigators must know how to properly collect mobile devices, what information can be found on them, and how to preserve and present this information for cases.

Highlights:

>>Through this course, students will gain knowledge about the structure of mobile devices, understand the terminology, and complete hands on exercises to emphasize data extraction techniques as well as proper collection and preservation. 

>>Students will learn the legal aspects of mobile data and what information can be obtained from sources such as service providers as well as backups and third party applications.


Curriculum
• Mobile device terminology
• Understanding cellular networks and service providers
• Fundamentals of cell phones and tablets function
• Legal aspects and requirements for evidence data collection
• Requesting and analyzing call data records (CDRs)
• Proper collection and preservation of mobile devices
• Logical and physical analysis of cell phones using forensic tools
• Data collection from other sources: SIM cards, backups,
third party apps
• Understanding data and presentation as evidence for court

Duration: 2months
Sundays 2hrs /10-12pm
