LOOKING FOR PhD PROGRAMS- INDIA (FORENSIC, BIOTECHNOLOGY AND BIOINFORMATICS)

The intensity of the Program demands energy and zeal in the pursuit of greater understanding, and a willingness to master the behavioral, scientific, Biological and mathematical sciences that are the essential components of academic research in Life science disciplines. Each student in the Program chooses to concentrate in one of different available fields of study. Field selection—and later, dissertation advisor or guide,play a key role in guiding students through the Program. Such preparation reaches its culmination in the original research presented in a candidate's doctoral dissertation, and conferral of the Ph.D. in Life Science areas signifies that he or she has attained expert competence in a major field of study of life. Although a student's primary Coursework and research activities are concentrated in the field of specialization, this does not limit the range of a student's study; cross-disciplinary study is frequent and encouraged.

Eligibility: Post Graduates/MPhil/working professionals/Medical doctors/Law and Order officials

NOTE

A limited number of stipends will be provided to the candidates and this will be decided after 10 months    of commencement of the programme based upon the performance.

BDRC may offer the job to the deserving candidates during the programme.

Stipends will range from INR 4000/- to INR 8000/- per month

3 Scholarships upto 10% in the reduction of fee is available for the candidates who are having the    overall academic background of more than 75% throughout (This is totally on first come first serve basis).

Forensics Biotechnology And Genetics- INDIA

Biotechnology has provided law enforcement professionals with another way of placing a suspect at the scene of a crime. This area of study, called forensic biotechnology, uses a method called DNA fingerprinting.

This method is based on the fact that each individual's DNA is highly unlikely to be identical to any other person's DNA (unless he or she has an identical twin).

By examining traces of tissue, hair, tooth pulp, blood, or other body fluids left at the scene of a crime, a suspect can be linked to a crime location with great accuracy. Many states are now accepting DNA fingerprinting results as admissible evidence in criminal and civil trials.
